I love my Belleville 550 STs. I can hardly tell that there is a steel toe dpwn there and they are by far the most comfortable boot I have yet to put my foot in, I even PT in them. They dry off very quickly. The first time I put my 550 STs on was for a 4-day FEX, and I never got a blister or hot spot; and I humped all over God’s country. The Belleville 500 series is by far my favorite boot.

I’ve had my Belleville 550ST boots for about 2 1/2 years now and I still love them, I’ve done PT in them, I’ve hunted in them, I’ve fought brush fires in them, I’ve worked in them both on the farm and at the station, Their comfortable and they’ve held up to everything I’ve put them through. I would recommend them to any body.

I cannot say enough about Altama’s 3466 side zips. I have purchased numerous times, each time I have been extemely satisfied. The overall comfort, and durability, is excellent and fantastic. Each pair new, from the box feels like they were made for ny feet. No break ins, no Blisters no foot rashes, or rubbing anywhwere. In 1970 my drill sergent made our platoon wash and soak our brand new boots with scalding hot water for a half hour under running water, saddle soap them, and set them to dry… the resulting product was like a sneaker. Never did any of use experience blisters or any other malady. These Altama side zips equally match those basic training boots, and then some. I thought I had been transported back to basic, when I slipped the first pair on an still do each time I receive my new pair. Excellent Boots!

More on the 550 ST’s. I am a former Marine and have worn everything; the old green on black jungle boots, the terrible black all leather standard issue, $400 Mendel hikers to the new Desert Boots (new to an older Marine). I got mine in 2002 I think (not a typo) and had my doubts about having a steel toe. It’s true, you really dont even know it’s there and forget about having a goofy crease across the top of the toe or where the underside of the insert at the edge inside the boot usually digs in to the top of your foot. I just ordered my second pair ever. I have worn these things everywhere too, several countries, climates, and for everything from PT/ Construction/Hunting/Fire Rescue/ High Angle Rescue and much more. They are still in one piece above the sole. The only reason I ordered another pair is because I had to peel off the bottom most layer of sole that has the tread when the glue between sole layers had finally seperated a little at the heal. I still wear them now but need the tread layer on the bottom for grip at work. It used to be if you wanted the best gear afield in the Military and to be as comfortable as possible you went and bought it yourself like in boots such as Bates, Danners etc and they are good boots. Usually military issue is thought to be the cheapest available and it is meant to keep you alive, not comfortable. This time though…. nothing I’ve tried beats these “issue” boots. Belleville Got it Right!. If it sounds like I’m kissing butt I am; in certain scenarios nothing is more important than your feet…well almost nothing.

We @ Quantico Boot are proud of our partnership with Belleville boots. We would to start carrying the 590/500 soon. They are currently out of production but we are going to work towards getting them back on our shelves.

Since leaving the USAF honorably in 2003, I have ordered two pairs of safety toe Belleville 220′s. They were issue boots that I truely came to appreciate. I cannot stress enough the satisfaction I have in these boots. Comfort and performance are important, and these boots deliver both. Quantico Boots has provided my last two pairs in five years, and the service and professionalism in this company has made me a loyal customer. Considering I climb for, work for, and help run a tree service, I put these boots to the test. Belleville makes a quality, comfortable boot–yes even steel toes. Thank you, Quantico, for providing great boots to those who have come to demand great boots.
